H.E Yu Wenzhe presented Letter of Credence to President Kufuor

H.E. Yu Wenzhe, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Republic of Ghana, presented his Letter of Credence to H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, the President of the Republic of Ghana, on 8th August 2007.

H.E. Amb. Yu Wenzhe conveyed the cordial greetings and best wishes of President Hu Jintao to H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor. He hailed the profound friendship and cooperation between two countries and the great achievements made by the Ghanaians since its independence. He wished Ghana even greater success on its path of advance.

President Kufuor commended H.E. Yu Wehzhe and expressed Ghana's appreciation to the government and people of China for the enormous support towards the country's development. Reiterating Ghana's adherence to the one China policy, in recognition that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, the President said he was looking forward to deepening bilateral relations between the two countries in the years ahead.

On his part, H.E. Yu Wenzhe assured that he would make every effort to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, which in turn would benefit the two peoples.
