Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Madam Sun Baohong Invites the Finance Minister of Ghana to Her Residence

On November 3, 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Her Excellency Madam Sun Baohong invited the Minister of Finance, Honorable Ken Ofori-Atta to her Residence. Director of Foreign Aid Division of the Ministry of Finance, Mdm. Yvonne Quansah, Counselor for Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the People’s Republic Of China, Mr. Chai Zhijing were present at the meeting.

Ambassador Sun expressed her warm thanks for the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry of Finance in hosting Mr. Qian Keming, Deputy Minister of Commerce of China when he paid a visit to Ghana in late September and co-hosted the Fourth Meeting of the Joint Committee on Economy, Trade and Technical Cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Sun said that presently, the relationship between China and Ghana enjoys a good momentum of development. The Chinese side is ready to work with Ghana to expedite the implementation of the outcomes of Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, the official visit by Vice President, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to China as well as the Fourth Meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation between the two countries to benefit people of both countries.

Honorable Minister Ofori-Atta said that Ghana attached great importance to the critical role China has played in Ghana’s economic and social development. Ghana is willing to work with China to continuously deepen economic and trade cooperation, explore new forms and ways of cooperation and realize win-win results.
