Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong Attended China Trade Week Ghana

On 17 May 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong attended China Trade Week Ghana, and delivered a speech on the opening session. CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Center Mr. Yofi Grant, President of Ghana-China Friendship Association H.E. Ambassador Kojo Amoo-Gottfried, Ghanaian Ambassador-designate to China H.E. Edward Boateng, representatives from Ghanaian Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as several former Ghanaian Ambassadors to China also attended this event.

In her speech, Ambassador Sun pointed out that China and Ghana have enjoyed fruitful cooperation of diversified forms since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries 57 years ago. The Chinese government encourages credible Chinese enterprise to invest in Ghana so as to support Initiatives such as “One District One Factory”, “One Village One Dam” and “Planting for Food and Jobs” that brought up by the Ghanaian government. Ambassador Sun also introduced the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation which was just concluded in Beijing. The Forum expressed China’s willingness to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with other countries. China welcomes people of other counties including Ghana to take free ride of China’s development and upgrade cooperation for mutual benefit.

Ghana is the first stop of this year’s China Trade Week which was hosted by MiddleEast International Exhibition.
