Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong Attended the Handover Ceremony of Motor Bikes donated by Sentuo Steel Company to Tema Regional Police Headquarter

On 22nd September 2016, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong was invited to attend the handover ceremony of 15 motor bikes donated by Sentuo Steel Company to Tema Regional Police Headquarter. The Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service Dr. John Kudalor, officials from Tema Regional Police Headquarter and Economic Counsellor Mr. Li Jiang as well as Head of Consular Section Mr. Liao Qingsheng attended the event.

In her speech, Ambassador Sun commended Sentuo Steel Company and its MD Mr. Xu Ningquan for being enthusiastic about public charities and actively supporting the capacity building of Ghana law enforcement agencies as well as establishing a cooperative platform between citizens and police. Ambassador Sun also introduced the latest development of China-Ghana relations and the achievements of cooperation between the two countries in the field of judiciary and police affairs. She expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service for its contribution to maintaining the country’s peace and stability, protecting the Chinese people’s safety and property and fighting against transnational crimes. She said that the Chinese side will continue to support the capacity building of the Ghana Police Service.

Mr. Kudalor appreciated the Chinese Embassy and Chinese companies for supporting the Ghana Police Service, and indicated that the Ghana Police Service will work harder to maintain social security and make sure that the general election in December will be held in peace.

Ambassador Sun and Mr. Kudalor watched the simulation exercise of the police together before the donation ceremony.
