Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang Meets Former President of Ghana H.E. Jerry John Rawlings

On May 28, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang paid a courtesy call on former President of Ghana H.E. Jerry John Rawlings.

Ambassador Wang said that President Rawlings is an old friend of the Chinese people and has made important contributions to the development of China-Ghana friendly relations. China-Ghana relations is in good momentum. China has carried out a large number of cooperation projects in Ghana, which has effectively promoted the economic and social development of Ghana. China is willing to work with Ghana to inherit and carry forward the traditional friendship, further enhance mutual trust, expand cooperation, and push bilateral relations to a new level.

Mr. Rawlings welcomed Ambassador Wang to his residency. He said that China has made tremendous contributions to the African national liberation movement. In recent years, China has actively supported African development in areas such as infrastructure construction, and the level of friendly cooperation between China and Africa has continuously improved. Mr. Rawlings again pointed out that China's development will help build a stable multi-polar world. The people of Ghana as well as African people will benefit from it as a whole. He sincerely hoped that China will become stronger and stronger.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest .
