Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang Meets with Ghanaian Political Activist Samia Nkrumah

On May 16, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang met with Ghanaian political activist Ms. Samia Nkrumah. The two sides exchanged views on China-Ghana relations and friendly cooperation.

Ambassador Wang welcomed Ms. Nkrumah to the pavilion and said that China-Ghana friendship has a long history. Ghana’s founding President Nkrumah has deep friendship with Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai and other old Chinese leaders. China is willing to work with Ghana to inherit and carry forward the traditional friendship between the two countries, continuously improve the level of friendly cooperation and better serve the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Wang welcomed Ms. Nkrumah for her visit and said that China and Ghana enjoys a long-lasting friendship. The founding President Dr. Nkrumah forged a profound friendship with chairman Mao Zedong , premier Zhou Enlai and other old Chinese leaders. China is ready to work with

Ghana to inherit and carry forward the traditional friendship and continue to enhance the level of friendly cooperation to benefit people of the two countries.

Ms. Nkrumah thanked Ambassador Wang for his introduction and spoke highly of China's important contribution to the struggle for national liberation and independence of African people. Ghana-China friendship has a solid foundation and will continue to be strengthened. She firmly believed that, with the joint efforts of both sides, Ghana-China relations will surely display new vitality in the new era.

Samia Nkrumah is the daughter of Kwame Nkrumah, the founding President of Ghana. She was the Chairman of the Convention People’s Party of Ghana and the Parliament Member of the Joromo Constituency in the Western Region.
