On May 15, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang met with Arezki Mezhoud, General Secretary of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) and exchanged views on inheriting and developing friendly relations between the two sides. Mr. Valentin Udeh Okechukwu, Assistant Secretary-General of OATUU was present at the meeting.
Ambassador Wang welcomed General Secretary Mezhoud and said that OATUU is an important organization on the African continent. OATUU has maintained profound friendship and good cooperation with China. China cherishes this traditional friendship and is willing to continue developing friendly relations with OATUU and further deepen mutual understanding and strengthen friendly cooperation.
General Secretary Mezhoud thanked Ambassador Wang for his hospitality and introduced OATUU. He said that OATUU attaches great importance to developing relations with China and appreciates China’s contribution to helping African countries develop. OATUU is willing to continue maintaining close ties with China, inherit the friendship between China and Africa, and develop China-Africa cooperation.
