1. In accordance with the Announcement jointly made on July 20 by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Embassy in Ghana is evaluating the capacity to conduct nucleic acid test for COVID-19 in Ghana. The specific measures will be released when implementation condition is satisfied. Please pay attention to the notices on website and Wechat official account of Chinese Embassy. Currently, Ghana doesn't have direct flight to China and all Chinese and foreign passengers to China transferring via other countries shall meet the epidemic control requirement of transferring countries and airlines.
If traveling from Ghana and transferring via other countries where the measure has been implemented to require negative certificate of nucleic acid test before boarding (please visit https://hr.cs.mfa.gov.cn/help_two/help-two/gj.html to check the country list), Chinese and foreign passengers bound to China shall take the test in advance in Ghana. Chinese passengers apply for green health code bearing mark of "HS" (Attachment 1) with negative test certificates, while foreign passengers apply for certified Health Declaration Form (Attachment 2) with the certificate. Airlines will check the green health code bearing mark of "HS" and certified Health Declaration Form when passengers board flights in Ghana and transferring airport. What should be emphasized is that passengers planning to transfer via the above countries must apply for green health code bearing mark of "HS" (Chinese passengers) and certified Health Declaration Form (foreign passengers) in Ghana and make sure that they are valid during transferring. Otherwise, the passengers will be denied boarding and have the consequence of being stranded.

(1)Testing time and testing institutions
Test should be taken 72 hours before boarding during transferring in designated institutions (attachment 3 is the list) . The testing certificate may bear time of taking sample, time of testing and time of issuing, and the time of issuing should be used as the starting time to determine validity. If there is no time of issuing, the latest time on certificate should be used as the starting time.
(2)The way for Chinese Citizens to obtain Health Code
Chinese citizens shall, within 12 hours of obtaining COVID-19 negative certificate, submit personal information and upload photos of their COVID-19 negative certificates to the "Submitting Entrance B" of Wechat mini program COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version by scanning the QR code (Attachment 4) with Wechat. Please make sure the scanned copies are clear, otherwise the approval of your application will be delayed. After verification by Chinese Embassy, the passengers can get green health codes bearing mark of "HS". If necessary, please visit https://hr.cs.mfa.gov.cn/help_two/help-two/hs.html to browse "Q & A for Chinese Citizens to Upload COVID-19 Negative Certificate". Please board the flight before the expiry of health code and be cooperative with the check by airlines.
The way for Foreign Citizens to obtain Health Declaration Forms
After obtaining COVID-19 negative certificates, foreign citizens shall send the scanned copies of data pages of their valid passports, COVID-19 negative certificate, Health Declaration Forms signed by the applicants and the information about flight date, number and countries to email address of Chinese Embassy in Ghana. After performing verification, the Chinese Embassy returns the scanned copies of Health Declaration Form to the applicants through email. The applicants shall print the Form themselves and take it to airport. Please board flight before expiry of Health Declaration Form and be cooperative with the checking of airlines.

3. Chinese citizens traveling from Ghana and transferring via other countries can check requirement in "Guideline of Submitting Entrance" in Wechat mini program COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version. To make sure the information is accurate, please check the notice of Chinese Embassy in the transferring countries and confirm with the relevant airlines.
4. If you plan to fly to Ghana and transfer via Ghana to China , you must take the nucleic acid test in the country of origin and apply for green Health Code with mark of "HS" or certified Health Declaration Form from Chinese Embassy in the country of origin. If the country where you start your journey has no testing capacity, you are strongly advised to obtain Ghanaian visa in advance and comply with Ghanaian policy to control epidemic upon arrival in Ghana. After all the requirements of the policy are met, you can take the test at the institutes designated by the Chinese Embassy in Ghana and apply for green Health Code with mark of "HS" or certified Health Declaration Form from Chinese Embassy in Ghana.
5. Besides the epidemic control policies of Chinese government, some policies are also made by the countries and airlines which are related to your journey. China bound passenger must abide by all the policies. The information about the often-taken flights to China and the epidemic control policies of countries and airlines relevant to your journey can be found in attachment 5. With the change of epidemic, the above information may change accordingly. Please check and verify carefully the change of the policies of relevant countries and airlines and comply with the updated policies. Chinese Embassy in Ghana will not be responsible for the inaccuracy of the above information about flights and epidemic control policies.
