Equipment Donated to Training Center

Five sewing machines, one computer and one printer were donated to the Ruquays Training Center for Young Women in order to help unemployed women obtain skills and engage in production. Mr. Wang Jinghua, Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China who presented the equipment at the Center in Accra on July 11th, 2005, spoke highly of the Sino-Ghanaian friendship and pledged that the Chinese Embassy would continue to support efforts to strengthen training and promote employment in Ghana.

Ms. Cecillia Nyadia, Special Assistant to the Minister of Women and Children expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for the assistance to the Center, saying that the equipment would go a long way to enhance the development of the organization. Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Alhaji Yusif Ahmed, Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, and Ms. Rukayatu Quaye, Coordinator of the Ruquays Youth and Traders Training Foundation. Both of them hailed the donation.
