Notice on issuing Biometric Visa from January 1, 2023

Starting from January 1, 2023, the visa office of the ChineseEmbassy in Ghana will issue biometric visas. To complete the visa process, it is mandatory that visa applicants come in person to the visa office and have their ten fingerprints digitally scanned.

Exemptions from fingerprinting may apply to the following applicants.

1. Persons under the age of 14 or over the age of 70.

2. Persons suffering from finger mutilation or absence of fingerprints.

3. Diplomatic passports holders or applicants qualifying for courtesy visa.

4. Personsbearing the same passports who have their fingerprints already scanned within a period of less than five years.

Please take note that all applicants are requested to go to the visa office of the Chinese Embassy in person for biometric data collection. Applicants shall bear all the consequences including denial of entry for forged fingerprints or the use of other people's fingerprints for visa application.
