On 17th February 2015, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong and the Ghanaian Deputy Foreign Minister Thomas Kwesi Quartey representing respectively the Government of China and the Government of Ghana signed the Agreement Between The Government Of The People's Republic Of China And The Government of The Republic Of Ghana On Mutual Visa Exemption For Holders Of Diplomatic And Service Passports in Accra.
